12 children’s songs, all about dinosaurs, with music that adults can actually listen to? How could such a thing come about?
When my son was three, we were on our way to the zoo, and we went to the Museum of Natural History instead. We were fortunate to live outside of Washington , DC, so we could make choices like these on a Saturday morning. About the same time, I was having a harder time playing out in bands, with all of the time commitments of being a father.
Writing songs about dinosaurs became a hobby for my whole family. Owen, now six, grew up writing some of the lyrics in these songs, things that adults just wouldn’t consider, like “Tyrannosaurus Rex, what’s that on your neck?” My daughter, born after all of this started, now sings along to these songs. Needless to say, this has truly been a family affair.
I didn’t expect to publish these songs as they were being written. As I saw what effect they had on my kids, and on the kids of our friends, I began to focus more on getting Dinosaur Pop in other people’s ears.
I hope this music gives my kids a permanent record of our time together during these formative years. Of course, I’d be happy for them enjoy music throughout their lives. Mostly, though, I hope this project shows them that with some commitment and some good company, just about anything is possible, even 12 rock songs about dinosaurs.

Paul!
My son, too, is 6. He has been in love with dinosaurs since he was 18 months! I always thought he would grow out of it, but he hasn’t.
Your wonderful CD has given us countless hours of singing and rock’in gratification! We get in the car and turn on the tunes and sing at the top of our lungs with hand and bogy gestures! (not so easy when driving!).
Again, we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and I am purchasing the CD for Dylan’s 1st grade teacher as well.
When is the next album release coming???
WE ARE YOUR NUMBER 1 FANS!

Just keep making good stuff.
